Conference Dinner followed with
a talk from Ed Iken, Head Gardener at Nymans. His subject will be the History of
Nymans Gardens.
Saturday
12th September
Visit to
Nymans Gardens, Sussex (http://www.touruk.co.uk/gardens/gardenssussex_nymans.htm),
Followed by visit to Champs Hill, Pulborough courtesy of Mary Bowerman for a tour of the garden.
Dinner in the hotel followed by a talk on Climate Change and Heathlands
by Simon Caporn, Reader at Manchester Metropolitan University
Sunday
13th September
The A.G.M.
. Visit to Savill Gardens (www.theroyallandscape.co.uk), with a guided tour
Dinner in the hotel followed by an Open Forum to discuss heather related
issues; plant sale; member’s garden photographs and a book & memorabilia
auction.
Monday
14th September
Depart after breakfast.
David and Audrey Sprague, at Dorking, have kindly offered to receive visitors for a walk around their garden at any time during the Monday morning.
